Digital print technology allows us print smaller quantities without the huge setup expenses associated with "short runs" on traditional offset presses, and to deliver a proof that is an actual production sample of the finished book, not a "close facsimile".
In a "print on demand" scenario, the book is set up and stored digitally, and once a client sample has been approved, the books are ordered and produced in multiple small runs, as needed by the client.
This means that if changes are required during a trial, they are accomplished more easily, since they are performed electronically, and don't need to be made to a large quantity of books that have already been printed. |
